This fully online course covers the skills and knowledge required to work with basic information about the human body and to recognise and promote ways to maintain healthy functioning of the body. As a student, you will learn about the basic structure and functions of the body systems and associated components, the processes, conditions and resources required by the body to support healthy functioning, protection from infection and active and passive physical activity. The skills in this course apply to any individual who needs to use and interpret information that includes references to client anatomy and physiology. Course Delivery

This course is delivered fully online.

Entry Requirements

An individual undertaking this course will need to demonstrate the following to be eligible for entry:

1. As a registered training organisation (RTO), delivering nationally recognised training, we must verify a student's identity before undertaking the assessment. To meet this requirement, you will be required to show your photo identification to the camera and state your full name, as listed on your identification document.

2. Students are required to have the verbal and written English language skills to complete the scenarios and forms

3. Students must have access to a device with camera and audio recording capabilities, such as a smartphone, tablet, or computer with a webcam. This device will be necessary for creating short videos as part of the assessment, in which students verbally explain the required assessment outcomes.

Course Duration

The online learning and assessment is expected to take approximately 7 hours to complete. These timeframes are estimates. Individuals with prior experience in similar training may complete the course in less time, while those new to the subject may need more time to complete all the learning content and assessment questions.

This course is delivered fully online and will be self-paced. Students are expected to complete this course within six (6) months after enrolment.

Assessment Activities

Practical assessment: 

• Students are required to upload two (2) videos of themselves participating in the provided simulated scenarios

Documentation:

• Body Systems Functions & Common Conditions/Diseases Form

Theory assessment:

• A written assessment consisting of case studies, multiple-choice questions and short answer questions

Please note:  You will be required to make two (2) videos of yourself, verbally explaining the required assessment outcome. If you do not wish to complete video assessment questions, please consider an alternative mode of delivery (E.g. Online with face-to-face assessment).
